3-Ingredient Pancakes

Serves 1
- 1 egg
- 1/2 banana
- 1 tbsp flaxseed or chia seeds
- A dash of cinnamon and vanilla essence if you’d like

1. Blitz it in a food processor/nutribullet
2. Add a splash of oil of your choosing (coconut works well!) into a frying pan set to medium high heat
3. This serving creates 3 small pancakes, so dollop 3 spoonfuls onto the hot frying pan
4. They take no time to cook so watch for bubbles and for the edges to look cooked
5. Flip and cook for a further 30 seconds or so
6. Serve up with any sort of fruits, nuts, yoghurt, cinnamon, maple syrup etc.

Hikarui is a lifestyle blog with a studio extension that offers an alternative take on “wellness” – one that is deeply inspired by Japanese essentialism and wabi sabi philosophy. It teaches readers how to create their own “getaway space” from modern stressors through diary-style prose and lifestyle advice that promotes “lightweight living.” The studio extension showcases Chikae O.H.’s illustrations and photography.
